I’m not the type of person that plans each career move with surgical precision, each step intended to move oneself closer to the end goal. In fact, I’ve probably taken the path less traveled. I began my journey with the United States Marine Corps and had the pleasure of spending most of my time looking down on the earth from the navigation seat of a KC-130 (it’s interesting how airplanes are like old friends, where a picture can invoke memories, smells and vivid images). While the Marine Corps was great experience, I found it a bit too restrictive. Since then, I’ve spent most of my time exploring the intersection of business and technology, continuously looking for ways to do things better, faster and cheaper. Over the last eight years I’ve been busy working with some incredible companies and some great leaders who were truly pioneers.
